Luxury fashion can be confusing and costly. The goal of Jali is to provide stylish affordable, quality products that are accessible to everyone.

Our Founder

Founded in 2023 by Liz Mahecha, the Architect and Designer behind JALI in Melbourne, Australia.

“When I first moved to Australia from Colombia, I was shocked at how expensive brand name items were and in particular the cost of leather goods like handbags. I have the goal to provide a quality alternative that is accessible to everyone, whilst not compromising on quality or style”

Our Design

Every Jali design and product not only focuses functionality but also revolutionises luxury fashion through unique, signature shapes and flawless craftsmanship. Jali was inspired by the understanding that architecture and fashion stem from a shared passion for beauty, catering to our fundamental needs for shelter, clothing, and personal expression. Our hope is everyone can experience the  fusion of these elements with Jali's products and vision.

Our Craftsmanship

At Jali, we pride ourselves on flawless craftsmanship. We realise that each selection of full-grain leather reflects our commitment to quality. With this in mind, every cut, fold and stitch represents our commitment to providing unmatched luxury into every piece.

Our Materials

Outside of the bag

We source our full-grain leather with a strong emphasis on
quality, ensuring that all materials, including cotton and other components, meet strict testing standards, regardless of the price we offer to customers.

Our leather goods suppliers collaborate with tanneries that
adhere to international compliance standards with regards to labour and waste management. These tanneries are equipped with effluent treatment plants that recycle all water and extract chemicals from it before disposal.

Hardware

All of our hardware is gold-plated using PVD electroplating
and crafted by skilled artisans.

Inside of the bag

All of our leather goods feature a custom lining made from
100% cotton fabric. This lining is soft to the touch and fully biodegradable,enhancing both the comfort and our commitment to sustainability.
